ACTION FOR
BRAZIL’S CHILDREN
Action for Brazil’s Children Trust (ABC Trust) is dedicated to helping vulnerable street children and young people in cities across Brazil. The Trust raise awareness and funding to support local, community-led organisations, which give children, their families and communities the education, support and inspiration in order to transform their lives.
We travelled with ABC to Brazil visiting projects in Rio and Sao Paulo to interview local children. The trip was not without it’s challenges; all of the projects we visited were situated in high-risk areas, known for violence and shootings.
By listening to the children’s stories we were able to produce two films focused entirely on their experiences within the community and their engagement with ABC Projects.
Both films were screened at the Houses Of Parliament and for ABC’s board of trustees. The films also formed part of an integrated marketing campaign with Selfridges flagship store in London to run in parallel with the 2014 Football World Cup.
